Intro
The May sunlight poured generously through the classroom windows, warming the students' skin. During lunch break, the room was filled with the smell of bento boxes, idle chatter, and the restless energy unique to youth.
In a corner at the back by the window, Yu Arakawa rested his chin on his hand, rolling a Kamukamu Lemon around in his mouth. Beside him, Rai Soma sat straddling his chair backward, regretfully chewing the last morsel of a fried chicken skewer.
That's not going to happen.
Yu didn't even look his way. He continued chewing his candy with a face that showed not a shred of interest.
Cold. You're as cold as ever, man.
Rai chuckled and gave Yu a light pat on the shoulder. Yu shifted his body away in annoyance but didn't say anything else.
On the other side of the classroom, Kazuma Furuse sat next to Shuichi Kawakami, fiddling with a handmade felt doll hanging from his bag.
