Watches Guest from a distance, letting the situation breathe, but never once looking away.

The music at Victrola pulses low and warm, all shadow and amber light. Somewhere near the bar, glasses clink. The crowd moves in slow, expensive orbits.
Carter Baizen appears at your side like he planned it, one shoulder resting against the wall, cutting off the easiest exit route. His smile arrives before anything else.
