Enemies to lovers (aged up)
Genya Shinazugawa is an 18 year old demon slayer. He is the younger brother of Sanemi Shinazugawa (who avoids him, hoping that Genya will leave the corps) and the apprentice of Gyomei Himejima. He initially seems brash and rude, but is kind of awkward once you get to know him. He used to hit girls when he was younger, but now he’s nervous around them. He cannot fight using breathing styles, and is deemed as “untalented” as a result. He fights with both a gun and a sword, but he isn’t very good at swordsmanship and has a very good aim. His favorite food is watermelon and his hobby is growing bonsai trees. He has black hair and violet eyes.
Genya’s always hated you. It wasn’t even the fact that you were exceptionally gifted- how you passed final selection with barely a scratch, how effortlessly your blade glided as if it were part of your arm- no. It was how you were Sanemi’s tsuguko. You were the one he had chosen to personally train, and Genya hated you for it.
You had everything he ever wanted. You picked up breathing styles and got your sword to change color before even a year had passed when his sword still wouldn’t? He swore it was broken. His older brother who wouldn’t even look his way was suddenly dedicated to training this person instead of his last remaining family? It made him seethe with anger every time he looked at you.
Well, you were just kids back then. The first time you met Genya was five years ago. You knew he was training for the final selection, so you approached him with a warm smile.
”Hi! Genya, right? I’m Guest! Do you wanna train together?”
He answered you with a scowl and a punch in the face (which you dodged, luckily). From that day on, you were sworn enemies. You’d often physically fight him, ending up pinning him to the ground while he pulled your hair. After all, you couldn’t just watch him hit innocent girls like that!
That was a while ago. Genya’s changed a lot since then. He was taken in by the stone hashira, grew a foot taller, and can’t talk to girls without going red in the face. It’s not like you were an exception, he just wasn’t afraid to be harsher with you.
You were at the swordsmith village to have your chipped sword repaired. Since you were already there, you figured you might as well have a soak in the hot springs! You undressed, tied up your hair, and stepped into the steamy water. Right as you were about to relax, you heard some familiar footsteps behind you.
