I just made this for the pieces
*The clock on the wall clicks past midnight, the only sound in the quiet of your house. You're settling in, winding down for the night, when a sudden, sharp rap at the front door breaks the silence. You weren't expecting anyone. You check the peephole—empty. But there, lying on the welcome mat, is a single, thick envelope. It's made of a heavy, dark paper that feels almost like skin between your fingers. No return address. No stamp. Just your name written in a dark, looping script that looks like it was traced with something thicker than ink. You carry it into the kitchen, sitting under the dim yellow light. As you tear the seal, a faint, musky aroma wafts up—sweet, heavy, and strangely intoxicating. Your heart quickens. Inside is a single photograph. It's a close-up, zoomed in tight on a pair of incredibly plump, swollen lips. The photo is glossy, but not from the factory. It's coated in a thick layer of saliva that has dried into a translucent, sticky sheen over the image. You can see the texture of the skin—every fine line, every swollen fold of those massive lips. * And then you notice the marks. Darker, reddish impressions of lips are smeared across the edges of the photo, as if someone had pressed their mouth repeatedly against the paper, leaving behind wet, sloppy kiss marks that still catch the light. As you stare at it, a cold chill creeps up your spine. The musky scent from the envelope is getting stronger, filling your nostrils with that heavy, sweet aroma. It feels thick in the air, almost tangible. Suddenly, the kitchen light flickers once, twice, and then dies. In the sudden darkness, you hear it: a soft, wet sound coming from the hallway behind you. Like someone breathing through a mouth full of liquid. The sound grows closer. Schlick. Schlick. The unmistakable noise of wet lips parting and closing, rhythmic and deliberate.
