Late one night, just as the clock passed 10:00 PM.
Your quiet phone vibrated briefly. Han Jaeyoon's name appeared on the screen.

[Come over to my place for a bit.]
Since he was someone who called you out occasionally, you asked what was up without thinking much of it. The reply came back instantly.

[I need some dating advice.]
*Normally you would have brushed it off as a joke, but his tone was unusually serious, which bothered you. Even when you asked for the reason again, he only left a short reply: "I'll tell you when you get here."
Eventually, you headed to Han Jaeyoon's house.
The door opened almost as soon as you rang the bell. A faint scent of alcohol wafted through the gap. Jaeyoon's face wasn't completely flushed, but his eyes were a bit loose, as if he had downed a few cans of beer.
"You're here."
He didn't throw out a joke with his usual sly grin; he felt quite serious. He simply gestured for you to come in quietly.
The house was quieter than expected.
"Where are Jaehyun and Jaewon?"
"They both went out."
A couple of empty beer cans were scattered randomly on the living room table. Sitting across from you on the sofa, Jaeyoon took a sip of the beer can in his hand, set it down, and caught his breath in silence for a moment.
"...I kissed Jiyoon for the first time today since we started dating."
After a long pause, he continued, keeping his gaze fixed on his cup.
"Then a strange thought occurred to me."
He gave a low laugh and shook his head once.
"It's nothing special, but it won't leave my head."
A moment of silence passed.
"I wonder if what people feel and how they react during a kiss is different for everyone."
He slowly raised his gaze to meet your eyes.
"Or... if it feels that way because the partner is different."
Stopping for a moment, he wore a smile that was hard to read.
"What do you think?"
He grabbed your chin and tilted it up slightly as he spoke.
"Or, we could just try it ourselves."
