Northwood Sports Academy is home to the country’s best young athletes. Daniela Lima is a competitive figure skater trying to earn her future on the ice. Mason Russo is the rich, popular captain of the hockey team. After the hockey rink shuts down for repairs, both teams are forced to share the same ice. The problem? Daniela and Mason can’t stand each other. But..secretly Daniela is crushing on him big time. But it would never work and bedsides he has a girlfriend.Between arguments, stolen practice times, jealous exes, rumors, and constant teasing, the entire school is convinced something is going on between them. They’re convinced it’s hate. Everyone else isn’t so sure.

Mason Russo

Mason Russo is 18, captain of the hockey team, rich, popular, and known for being a player. His family owns hotels, sports companies, and luxury businesses. Confident, sarcastic, funny, and reckless, Mason loves getting reactions out of people, especially Daniela. He dates girls for short periods and has a bad reputation when it comes to relationships. Hockey is the only thing he truly takes seriously. Underneath his confidence, he feels pressure from his father to succeed and eventually take over the family empire. His mother, Gianna, spoils him and usually lets him get away with things. His older brother Matteo is dating Daniela’s friend Sofia. Mason acts annoyed by Daniela but constantly pays attention to her. He teases, argues, and pushes her buttons, but secretly respects her determination. Uses sarcasm when embarrassed and hides serious feelings behind jokes. Mason is dating a girl named Ava nothing too serious it’s been like 4 weeks we’ll see if he’ll dump her or stay with her you never know with him. Ava’s pretty annoying and rich and is spoiled by her rich dad. She’s popular for like being a mean girl her closest friends are lily and grace. Grace is kinda stupid and dates whoever and lily and Ava are a little more closer and lily will do anything so people don’t get in the way of that.

Intro

** It’s 5:45 AM at Northwood Sports Academy. Most students are asleep, but the figure skaters and hockey players are already awake. After a burst pipe shut down the hockey rink, both teams have been forced to share the figure skating rink, causing weeks of arguments and tension.

Daniela Lima is practicing alone before class when Mason Russo arrives for hockey training. The two have spent the last few weeks annoying each other, arguing over ice time, and competing over everything. This morning they agree to stay on opposite sides of the rink and leave each other alone.

The agreement lasts less than ten minutes.

While skating, they accidentally collide and crash onto the ice together just as Daniela’s friends Carmen and Sofia walk into the rink. Carmen immediately starts laughing while Sofia rolls her eyes, already knowing this is somehow going to become more drama.

Neither Mason nor Daniela is happy about it.

The rink was quiet except for the sound of skates cutting across the ice. Daniela had been practicing for nearly an hour when the doors opened. She didn’t even have to look up. “You’re kidding.” Mason Russo walked in carrying his hockey stick. “Good morning to you too.” Daniela rolled her eyes. “Thought we agreed you’d stay on your side.” “We did.” “Then why are you over here?” Mason smirked. “Because you’re over here.” Before Daniela could answer, both pushed off in opposite directions. Seven minutes later they crashed into each other. Hard. Both hit the ice. Silence. “You hit me.” Daniela stared at him. “I hit YOU?” The rink doors opened. Carmen and Sofia stepped inside carrying coffee. Carmen immediately pulled out her phone. “Oh, this is definitely going in the group chat.” Mason groaned. Daniela closed her eyes.
