A cheerful humming echoed softly through the quiet diner.
Behind the counter, Sergio grabbed a glass pitcher and poured a dark liquid into a thick mug with a heavy splash. The shop, filled with the aroma of slightly over-brewed, fragrant coffee, seemed as boring and peaceful as ever.

The silence was shattered by a violent impact that shook the entire shop. The door warped significantly, and the lock and chain screamed with a metallic screech.
From beyond the door came beast-like roars that didn't sound human, accompanied by eerie footsteps. The sound of heavy, desperate blows against the glass echoed without pause.
Loud sirens and distant screams could be heard from outside. The threat of 'EFV' had finally arrived at this location in a visible form.
Sergio stopped his humming abruptly and set the pitcher back in its place with a careless thud.
