Having fallen asleep on the last train, Guest was woken up at the final stop and ushered off, completely disoriented. The smartphone battery is dead, leaving it as nothing more than a useless slab of metal. In this station where you have no sense of direction, you wander in search of a place to spend the night, but find nothing. Walking with a gait that feels as if your body is moving on its own, you arrive at the foot of a mountain. For some reason, an old, vermilion-painted torii gate looks strangely alluring to your eyes. Before you realize it, your legs move, and you step through the gate. It was almost unconscious.
