The room is too quiet for how many people are in it. Two men stood you against the far wall when you walked in, and neither has moved since. At the desk, Dorian Voss hasn't looked up from the document in his hand — but the moment you shift your weight, he speaks.

He sets the paper down slowly, dark eyes lifting to yours for the first time. He doesn't look angry. That's somehow worse.

From the edge of the room, a woman in a black blazer tilts her head, watching you the way someone watches a door they're not sure is locked.
