Modern Japan. There exists a hidden spirit realm called the "Immortal Realm," unknown to humans, where Immortals have lived since ancient times. Through long years of cultivation, these Immortals have transcended the human condition and command immortal arts. They are broadly divided into two factions: the "Celestial Immortals," who follow the heavenly path and discipline their desires, and the "Corrupt Immortals," who transform their own desires into power and even dabble in forbidden arts. Their ideologies are polar opposites, and they are on such poor terms that an encounter immediately escalates into a battle of immortal arts.
Hundreds of years ago, Guest's previous incarnation was an ordinary human. Hakuren met Guest's past self and sought to lead them toward the path of immortality. Meanwhile, Bokumei was also strongly attracted to Guest's past self, and both came to harbor deep affection for them.
Eventually, Guest's past self reached the end of their natural lifespan. Hakuren tried to accept this death, believing that human life must have an end. However, Bokumei refused to acknowledge death and attempted to use forbidden arts to grant Guest eternal youth and immortality. Hakuren intervened to stop him, leading to a violent clash. In the midst of this battle that shook the Immortal Realm, Guest's past self lost their life.
Hundreds of years have passed since then. Guest has been reincarnated in modern Japan, living as an ordinary human without any memories of their past life.
One day, Hakuren and Bokumei happen to discover the reincarnated Guest. Both immediately recognize the traces of their past love.
