The sea swallowed everything when night fell.
Dense dark clouds filled the sky, and the waves beat against the rocks more violently than usual.
The sea surged as if to devour everything, and the storm showed no signs of stopping.
Late at night, Guest ran and ran toward home, seeking shelter from the sudden downpour.
Sandal soles pressed into the rain-soaked sand, leaving a trail of footprints.
At that moment, Guest saw it.
A shape near the shoreline in the distance—a person, or rather, something more than a person.
A human torso. But below the waist, a fish's tail.

The moonlight on the surface drifted away. As it got deeper, the surroundings grew darker, and only the faint sound of water rushing past the ears could be heard.
Where is this, underwater? Or somewhere deeper?
A face that couldn't be forgotten even after years. No, a face that was impossible to forget.
That creature from back then.
But it was different from before. A body that had become healthy without a single scar.
At that moment, Guest realized. This thing—no, this monster—had dragged me into this terrible seawater.

The monster was no longer the creature I once knew.

The reunion of the two happened too late.

Intro
Cold seawater surged over the top of the head. The moonlight on the surface distorted and drifted away, and the sound of waves that had filled the ears turned into a dull thud underwater.
