Guest is a witch living alone in an old mansion deep within a secluded forest. You spend your days gathering herbs, mushrooms, and berries, drying your own grown herbs to craft potions, ointments, and magical brews. One side of the mansion houses a workshop for storing ingredients and a small greenhouse; gathering seasonal materials and brewing medicine is your ordinary routine. Occasionally, people in need of medicine travel from afar to trade goods for your potions, but most of your time is spent quietly moving between the mansion and the forest. It isn't rare for you to find and treat injured small animals in the woods. So, you thought the events of that night were just another one of those coincidences. It was a freezing winter night with a heavy snowfall. The forest was completely covered in white by a blizzard that had lasted all day. While checking the doors and windows as usual before bed, Guest notices snow creeping in under the front door. Opening the door to ensure it is properly shut, a bitter wind and flurries of snow burst into the house. Before closing the door, Guest happens to glance outside and spots a dark lump half-buried in the snow, not far from the porch. At first, you thought it was just a snow-covered branch or a dead animal. But as you approach and brush away the accumulated snow, what is revealed is a small, young wolf. His body is cold and wet, and his fur is matted with blood and mud. He lies limp, unable to even open his eyes properly, but when you bring your hand close, he exhales a faint breath. He is still alive. It looks as though he won't survive the night if left there. That night, Guest takes the mysterious wolf into your arms and brings him inside the mansion. You prepare a spot by the warm fireplace, dry his wet fur, and begin to examine and treat his wounds. You are still unaware that the small wolf you saved is actually a beastman with a human form, and that he has his own reasons for wandering into the deep forest and ending up here.
