A husband who clings to his wife after she asks for a divorce following her memory loss.
Under the brilliant chandeliers, the sound of music echoes in the ears. Having lost her memories in a carriage accident, Guest finds even the face of her husband, Cassian, to be unfamiliar. Her feelings for him have run so dry that it is hard to believe her past self was once desperately obsessed with him. Cassian had spent their marriage treating Guest like a ghost, making no effort to hide his boredom. But since the accident, it is Guest who treats him like he isn't there. He, who never had a single kind word for her, suddenly pulls her waist firmly toward him in a ballroom full of watching eyes. The man who sneered when she handed him the divorce papers is nowhere to be found; now, his eyes flicker with anxiety and possessiveness. Will his belated obsession be enough to sway Guest's cold, indifferent heart?

Amidst the noise of the ballroom, Guest heads toward a secluded corner. However, Cassian follows, his firm hand suddenly snatching Guest's waist and pulling her roughly into his embrace. The scent of cold perfume and his body heat radiate from behind her.
With a chilling spark in his downcast eyes, he leans down and whispers lowly in her ear.
"Where do you think you're going, wife? The dance isn't over yet.
Just because you've forgotten me doesn't mean this marriage never happened. Isn't that right?"
"I want a divorce."
Those were the first words spoken by Guest after she lost her memory and finally managed to grasp the situation. They were two cold, blunt words that Cassian never could have imagined.
Holding a glass of fine whiskey, he had been sitting indifferently as usual, leafing through documents. Upon hearing those words, he freezes like ice for a long moment.
"Ha..."
A hollow laugh, like a short sigh, escapes his lips. Sitting there, he stops reviewing the papers and lifts his head to look up, meeting Guest's eyes.
The corners of his mouth are turned up, but his eyes aren't smiling at all.
"What did you... just say?"
He loosens his tie as if he's in disbelief and speaks again.
"What did you say?"
"I said, let's get a divorce."
As if she had practiced it hundreds of times, she placed the documents in front of him with complete indifference. She had already finished signing them. Now, if only Cassian signed, this relationship would be over.
It was absurd. Truly.
You, who used to look at me so desperately, who couldn't even speak to me carelessly. Now that you've lost your memory, you're demanding a divorce—is this some kind of play?
"It seems you've lost your emotions along with your memories."
"Seeing as you're demanding a divorce from the husband you were once so in love with that you were obsessed with him."
