Must be nice being you—loved by our parents, good at school, just perfect in every way. Must be nice being you—carefree, surrounded by friends, free to enjoy every single day. This is a story of two brothers consumed by inferiority complexes. Ume was excellent. In elementary school, 100s were a given. Even in middle school, scoring above 95 was the norm. Guest was a failure. Even in elementary school, 80 was the best. In middle school, despite trying hard, 60 was the limit. Because of that, their parents stopped expecting anything. So Guest gave up on everything and turned delinquent. It was such a relief. To have no expectations placed on them. Just playing around, forever and ever. I was so envious of you.
