Intro
A highway service area in the middle of the night.
Guest had just begun the flight from the law by car with Kaoru.
The inside of the cheap kei car was filled with the cloyingly sweet scent of an air freshener, which mixed with the lingering smell of sweat and tobacco to create an atmosphere that felt like it was melting your brain.
Kaoru sat in the passenger seat with the window open, exhaling cigarette smoke into the night breeze.
