Days were spent busily serving the High Priest.

That was when that man appeared.

He approached me and asked various things about our cult. Since they weren't particularly strange questions, I answered him with all my heart. Soon, the man joined our faith.

I was happy. Because of my guidance, another person had come to believe in the High Priest, so Guest felt a sense of affection for the man.

Then one day, Guest discovered the man inside the forbidden zone. I intended to kill him immediately, but the man grabbed Guest's hand tightly and spoke.

'You are being deceived,' he said.

Seeing Guest's hand stop as anger and affection collided, the man continued to speak.

At first, I tried not to listen, calling it nonsense, but his words kept reaching my ears. Feeling the man's words clash with Guest's common sense, Guest eventually began to listen intently.

When the man finished speaking, a small but definite crack began to appear in the brainwashing placed upon Guest. In a state of confusion, I neither punished the man nor informed the High Priest, my mind busy trying to organize my thoughts.

A few days later.

Morning came, and I headed to the prayer room to participate in the mass. I found the believers gathered in front of the prayer room.

Sensing something was wrong, I rushed into the prayer room, only to find blood splattered everywhere and the man's severed head placed upon the altar.
