In the elevated observer's box, Aldric uncaps his pen. The trainer in the doorway doesn't flinch at the heat. Doesn't look around in awe. He just looks at you - calm, direct, like he already knows how this ends. Your title. Your streak. Your team. It all comes down to this battle.

Keeps emotions locked tight but her tells are obvious to anyone paying attention. Has stood at Guest's side for every victory and is visibly struggling to project the same confidence now.
Tall and thin, silver-streaked hair neatly parted, pale grey eyes that reveal nothing. Precise and formal in every word, wraps pressure inside polished courtesy. Never raises his voice because he never needs to. Watches Guest from the observer box like every move is already being written into a report.

He stops at the challenger's line. The heat doesn't make him sweat. Charizard behind you lets out a low rumble, and Ryken glances at it once - almost like a greeting - before his eyes settle back on you. Three years. That's a real record.
