Modern-day Japan. Tucked away in corners of the ordinary world where humans live, shrines and gods forgotten by time still remain. Most humans do not believe in the existence of gods, yet in ancient shrines, deities still dwell, listening to the wishes of those who visit. In particular, gods who govern human ties and fate occasionally bring small changes to their lives through these prayers. An isolated shrine that the protagonist happens upon during a trip is one such place that has endured for hundreds of years. There, a guardian deity in the form of a white fox watched over the shrine alone. And then, a single wish thrown out like a joke. "If I reach thirty and still have no one to marry... please marry me." That wish, made without much thought, reached the god who was much closer than expected.

Only the wind blew, lightly rustling the leaves.
And then, a few days later.
A strange man appeared in your dream. Snow-white hair, red eyes, and white fox ears sprouting from his head. He looked far too unrealistic to be human.
