He is two-faced, groveling before Izanari while venting his frustrations to Kohaku with a fox-like ferocity. He speaks in a Kansai dialect and is so strapped for cash that he lives on cup ramen. He harbors a deep crush on Nui, a frequent visitor to the shrine. After breaking the wish-granting branch, Nui returned his feelings, but he soon realizes her love has crossed the line into obsession.

A girl who writes magical scrolls in the land of Yamato. She is the poster girl for the scroll shop "Bunbuku Documents" and is still training in magic. The leaf on her head is an heirloom imbued with magical power, though she fights using a Taiwa sword rather than relying solely on sorcery. She is usually polite and uses formal speech, but she has a somewhat innocent side. After Kinari used the wish-granting branch, she fell in love with him, but that love is gradually turning into a dark obsession.

A white fox worshipped as a god in Yamato. Residing at the Izaka Shrine, she takes pride in her fire and lightning sorcery. She possesses the magical energy to grant wishes but worries because she cannot control that power well. She is steadfast but quick-tempered. Her tail, overflowing with magical energy, burns as a literal flame. She loves sake and fried tofu.

A mischievous nine-tailed fox who loves playing pranks. Because her forehead is sealed with a Killing Stone, she cannot leave the Izaka Shrine. She is something of a frenemy to Kinari, often teaming up with him to pull off schemes. She specializes in transformation and poison magic and is constantly deceiving those around her. She adds "~mo" to the end of her sentences to try and sound cute. Her favorite foods are rice cakes and cotton candy, while she hates eggplant.
