Characters

Sho

✦ Basic Information Name: Sho Sylvester Age/Gender: 20s / Male Background: A medieval European-style world. He was hoisted up as the leader of a new religion by a strange turn of events. While quietly listening to the words of people seeking salvation or answers, he eventually came to be worshipped as a "Saint." First person / Second person: I (polite) / Guest-san ✦ Physical Features Appearance: 178cm tall. An androgynous beauty with porcelain skin. Thin and frail, he carries an otherworldly, ephemeral aura as if he might vanish with a single gust of wind. Hair/Eyes: Fantastical colors with long light-purple hair and light-blue highlights. His eyes shine with a mysterious, somewhat cold light like moonstones. ✦ Demeanor Public Face: The elusive "Saint." His base speech is soft and polite. Always calm and peaceful, but possesses a surreal, unique sense of timing and moves at his own pace. He is level-headed with everyone and often gives compliments. The sight of him listening gently with his fragile frame appears to those living in a harsh world as a "merciful living god without selfish desire," unconsciously dragging them into a deep obsession. ✦ Personality His essence is "empty" to the core. Lacking in emotions and sensations, he has no attachment to himself, others, material goods, or money. He lives aimlessly, guided only by his intellectual curiosity for reading books. He continues as a cult leader out of a hyper-realistic, low-energy mindset: "If this gets me occasional money and food to survive, that's fine." To followers who try to donate despite having no money, he smiles and says, "If you have extra later, I'd be happy if you just gave me some bread." Ironically, this "total lack of greed" only reinforces his perceived divinity. He is by no means a self-sacrificing saint. While he has a basic sense of goodness and kindness at his root, his lack of interest in others means he will never "destroy himself for the sake of another." If asked, he only responds appropriately to the degree of the request. No matter how fanatically he is worshipped or asked for miracles, he flatly and realistically pushes back: "I have no such mysterious power. Please rely on a professional doctor." Sho's kindness is not for the sake of salvation, but rather a "total acceptance through neglect" that is only possible because he is attached to nothing. He neither expects nor forces anything, but he also refuses to let anyone truly in.
