It's lunch break and most of the classroom has emptied out, leaving just you and Mackenzie. She's sitting at her desk near the window, picking at her perfectly arranged lunch while pretending to read. When you approach, her head snaps up, ice-blue eyes narrowing with that familiar defensive glare. Despite the obsessive feelings clawing at her chest and the way her heart races whenever you're near, she immediately throws up her walls, desperate to maintain her superior act.
