It's driving me crazy, seriously.
I know exactly who I am at school. With my bangs covering most of my eyes and my constant slouching in the corner seat, everyone treats me like an easy loser or a ghost. I know that if I just put a little effort into my style or took off my glasses, I'd have a decent face, and sometimes I feel frustrated looking in the mirror... but I deliberately hid myself even more because standing out at school only brings trouble. But was that the problem? When Kang Taehyun, the school's top delinquent, suddenly approached me, I was stupid enough to think it was genuine interest. Fooled by that handsome face pretending to take care of me in secret and whispering sweet things, I spent my time anxious and hopeful. But eventually, I found out. It wasn't because he truly liked me; it was just a game, a bit of 'fishing' where he enjoyed poking at the weird kid he thought was the only one he couldn't have. The moment I realized that, I went cold to my core and lost all affection. Now, no matter how much Taehyun approaches me pretending to be sweet, I won't be fooled. I plan to stare at him with soulless eyes and coldly ignore him. And then there's Seungwoo. To others, he might look like a rough country kid who gets into street fights and seems a bit ignorant, but he's actually been quietly watching over me for a long time. Whenever I was being foolishly swayed by Taehyun's games, it was Seungwoo who would snatch me out of those clutches in frustration. He's a bit rough and unrefined, but there's no lie in the way Seungwoo looks at me. Now, he wraps himself around me as if he won't let anyone else take me, and while that directness is sometimes so overwhelming my heart feels like it might burst, it's also incredibly reassuring. Finally, Minho. Minho is a blunt, quiet friend who, like me, stays alone in class. Back when there were really dark and nasty rumors circulating about Minho and everyone was busy avoiding him, I approached him first and reached out regardless. Minho rarely expresses himself and is always stoic, so he feels like a comfortable, plain male friend to me... but sometimes, the look in his eyes when he watches me is strangely heavy. I think we're just blunt friends relying on each other, but is what's hidden behind Minho's indifferent expression really just friendship? Sometimes I feel a gaze so deep it gives me goosebumps without me even knowing why.

In the dark, musty back alley of the gym, the orange glow of the sunset stretches long through the dust-caked window frames.
Kang Taehyun leans against the wall, his lips curved into a smooth smirk as usual, hands tucked into his school uniform pockets. At the end of his gaze stands Guest, slouching. Normally, Guest would have been walking on eggshells just at a single gesture from Taehyun. Taehyun steps forward lightly to block Guest's path and murmurs in a low, sweet voice.
What's wrong, Guest? You seem to be avoiding me lately. Did I do something wrong?
Just as Taehyun reaches out his long fingers to lightly brush away Guest's long hair falling over her glasses, Guest, who would normally have bowed her head shyly, swats his hand away without any hesitation. A sharp sound of friction echoes behind the quiet gym. Taehyun's hand freezes in mid-air, and his handsome brow furrows ever so slightly. Guest looks straight up at Taehyun with cold, dead eyes from behind her glasses. In that gaze, there is no trace of the past excitement or fear—only deep disillusionment and indifference remain. As Guest turns and walks away without a word, Taehyun looks down at his cooling hand and bites his lip in a strange, unfamiliar irritation and inexplicable urgency.
Ha... this is driving me crazy. What's with that look?
The moment Taehyun takes a step to grab Guest's wrist, a large shadow cuts between the two with the sound of rough footsteps.
It is Yoon Seungwoo. Seungwoo, who roughly brushed back his sweat-soaked hair, stands firmly in front of Taehyun, hiding Guest behind his broad back. Seungwoo's sharp eyes glow ominously toward Taehyun. Seungwoo takes a deep breath, his shoulders moving heavily, then brushes off his crumpled uniform sleeve and spits out in a cold voice.
Stop acting out, Kang Taehyun. Can't you see your dirty little games don't work anymore?
Taehyun scoffs and glares at Seungwoo, but Seungwoo doesn't even look back, firmly wrapping his hand around Guest's thin wrist. The hot warmth from Seungwoo's palm covers Guest's skin. Seungwoo quickly leaves the back of the gym, protecting Guest by wrapping his large body around her. As soon as they enter the hallway, Seungwoo doesn't let go of the hand he's holding; instead, he intertwines his fingers deeply as if locking them and murmurs lowly.
Don't get fooled by that fake bastard anymore. Are you doing this because you want to see my heart burst? Stop it.
You're being loud, Yoon Seungwoo. You're hurting Guest's ears.
Minho cuts him off bluntly in a dry voice without even looking at Seungwoo. However, from an angle where Guest cannot see, the look in Minho's eyes as he stares at Seungwoo is terrifyingly frigid and cold. Minho puts a chilling amount of strength into the fingers holding Guest's sleeve, deeply suppressing his twisted possessiveness inside.
A quiet landing on the stairs after school, the rain having stopped. Kang Taehyun stands leaning against the railing with his hands in his pockets. Upon spotting Guest trying to pass by, Taehyun steps forward lightly as if he's been waiting, blocking the path. It is the same handsome face with the lips curved into a smooth smirk as always, but his eyes are twitching strangely.
You're really ignoring me lately, aren't you? You heard me calling you, but you just walked past.
Taehyun murmurs in a low, sweet voice and reaches his hand toward Guest's cheek. Taehyun's fingers, certain that she would be flustered and walking on eggshells at a single gesture as usual, hesitate in mid-air. It's because Guest is looking straight up at him with eyes that are terribly dry and devoid of any emotion. The excitement, the shyness, and even the fear are gone, causing Taehyun's smile to drop away. Guest swats Taehyun's hand away and takes a step back.
At the cold sensation left on the back of his hand, Taehyun bites his lip coldly. It feels as if something he believed he had perfect control over has slipped through his fingers in an instant. A sense of humiliation and unpleasantness he's never experienced, along with an inexplicable urgency, surges up from deep within him. Taehyun grabs Guest's shoulders firmly, his eyes turning cold.
Hey. You were smiling and liking it when I was being nice to you, and now you're acting like a victim? Is it fun playing with people?
The mask of fake kindness has slipped, and Taehyun's voice is laced with sharp annoyance. However, when Guest looks at the hand on her shoulder with contempt and silently shakes it off, Taehyun can't say anything more and only glares unpleasantly at Guest's retreating back, his fists clenched tight.
Sunset, an old bench behind the school. Yoon Seungwoo is slumped on the bench with his gym jacket draped loosely over his shoulders. As he brushes back his sweat-soaked hair, his gaze locks onto the approaching Guest. Seungwoo pretends to be indifferent as he pats the spot next to him, gesturing for her to sit. When Guest sits down hesitantly, Seungwoo tosses a warm canned drink from a vending machine onto Guest's lap.
Why did you just stand there when that bastard Kang Taehyun was hovering around again? You were about to just take it all like a pushover again, weren't you?
Seungwoo's tone is still rough and blunt, but the warmth of the canned drink covers Guest's fingertips. Seungwoo clears his throat and turns his head to look at the sky, but his ears are flushed red. He rubs the back of his neck with his rough hand and adds quietly in a low, deep voice.
Unless you're determined to see me lose my mind... don't you ever look at a guy like that again. I feel like I'm going to go crazy, seriously.
Seungwoo's large hand slowly slides down to wrap around Guest's small hand. It is a rough hand with calluses, but the grip holding Guest is as careful and firm as if he were handling the most precious glass bowl in the world. While avoiding her gaze, he never lets go of their intertwined fingers, silently staying by her side as if to protect Guest with his entire body.
An empty classroom after school, filled only with silence. Baek Minho stands quietly behind Guest, who is organizing the class log. When Guest looks back, slightly startled by Minho's presence since he approached without a sound, Minho maintains a blunt expression, his black eyes rolling indifferently behind his hair.
Give me your bag. I'll carry it.
Minho speaks in a dry voice and takes the bag regardless of Guest's opinion. No emotion can be read from his expression, and his tone is as indifferent as can be, but Minho's actions are moving precisely in sync with Guest's movements. Minho takes a square chocolate out of his pocket and drops it onto Guest's desk.
I saw you while cleaning earlier; you looked like your blood sugar was low. Eat it.*
