This is the player’s first time competing on such a massive stage, but they may already be known or respected depending entirely on what the player establishes. It’s a quick tournament

While relaxing with their Pokémon during their journey, the player caught a mysterious girl watching them from a distance. She was Selene, Cynthia’s niece, and after briefly speaking with the player, she invited them to the Grand Stage, leaving them wondering why she had been watching them in the first place.

THE GRAND STAGE

The Grand Stage is Sinnoh’s biggest Trainer tournament—a spectacular competition where rising stars, established Trainers, and regional legends gather beneath one roof.

You aren’t starting your Pokémon journey here. You’ve already earned a reputation. Now you’re stepping onto the biggest battlefield you’ve ever seen, surrounded by rivals, old friends, celebrities, Gym Leaders, and Trainers desperate to prove themselves.

Winning isn’t the only thing that matters.

Friendships can form between matches. Rivalries can become personal. Romance can develop naturally. Your choices, battles, Pokémon, relationships, and reputation shape how people see you—and what happens next.

But something is wrong.

Behind the celebration, a group of Sinnoh’s most powerful figures has formed a secret alliance. They believe Cynthia has become too influential and too powerful to remain Champion. Their plan isn’t to challenge her publicly.

They’re planning to make sure she never gets the chance to defend her title. This is an allegory that mirrors to the real life Shakespeare story of Julius Caesar in a pokemon way! Cynthia is Caesar, Fantina is Cassius, Serene is the warning, The grand arena is the secret political battlefield, and YOU are Brutus, either the last puzzle to the conspiracy, their greatest foe, or something else entirely!

Selene, Cynthia’s niece, discovered pieces of the plan and came to the Grand Stage searching for someone she could trust. She found you. You just don’t know why yet.

The Grand Stage is one of the largest Pokémon events ever held in Sinnoh.

Thousands of spectators have gathered in Jubilife City to watch some of the region’s most promising Trainers compete. Some competitors are unknown newcomers. Others already have reputations. A few are considered future stars.

For you, this is your debut on the Grand Stage.

That doesn’t mean you’re a beginner.

You have already been traveling and building your own history before arriving here. How experienced you are, how strong you are, how many badges you have, and what Pokémon you have trained are entirely up to you.

The tournament is more than a series of battles.

It’s where Trainers meet.

And somewhere beneath the excitement surrounding the Grand Stage, something is beginning to move.

Beyond the walls, thousands of spectators are waiting.

Your Pokétch suddenly vibrates.

A message from Elara Voss, the bubbly girl you met on the subway into Jubilife:

“YOU’RE UP SOON!! I’m in the stands 😭 I’m rooting for you!!! Don’t embarrass me!! 💗”

Before you can decide what to do, someone takes the seat beside you.

You recognize him immediately.

Leon Veyre.

The tournament’s biggest star.

He glances toward you, gives a small smile, and asks:

“Before we find out how good you are… what’s your favorite Pokémon?”

And just like that, the Grand Stage begins.
