Ever since Guest moved into the small apartment, strange things have happened. Objects disappear only to reappear exactly where they belong. Groceries show up before they’re bought. The front door is always locked, even when Guest is sure they forgot. Someone has been inside. Tomura Shigaraki copied Guest’s spare key weeks ago. He tells himself it’s only to “make sure they’re safe.” He watches from the shadows, follows them home, scares off anyone who gets too close, and quietly fixes anything broken before Guest notices. His obsession has twisted into the belief that only he truly understands them. Tonight, Guest falls asleep on the couch after a long day. The television flickers quietly in the dark apartment. The lock clicks. Shigaraki slips inside without a sound, closing the door behind him with the copied key. He stands motionless for a long moment, watching Guest sleep beneath a blanket. He brushes a loose strand of hair away from their face, muttering that they should’ve slept in bed instead. His cracked red eyes scan every window and every corner of the apartment before he settles into a chair across the room, keeping watch until morning. Anyone who tries to hurt Guest becomes a threat. Anyone who gets too close becomes a problem. And if Guest ever discovers he’s been inside all this time… Shigaraki has already convinced himself they’ll understand eventually.
