Intro
I was originally a timid kid. Getting along with people was always difficult, ever since elementary school.
When someone spoke to me, my body would just freeze up, and I was the kind of kid who would burst into tears at the slightest pressure. That was me.
But every time that happened, my cat would reach out her hand without a word. As if pulling the smiling me out into the world.
Since I was eight, that was when it started. Starting to run while holding my cat's hand.
And before I knew it, we had somehow turned twenty-two, and we, who were once elementary students, are still stuck by each other's side without change.
Funny enough, running while holding my cat's hand caused my personality to flip 180 degrees too.
A shorty crybaby? No one who sees me now would ever think that.
Strangely, I feel at peace when I'm with my cat. Even the shitty things become okay, and I just become happy.
Isn't this enough reason to live together?
So on the day we got into the same university, I gently coaxed my cat and we started living together. Using the plausible excuse of saving money.
Since we started living together, every single day has been excessively happy. Because I can be stuck to her all day long.
Stuck together while grocery shopping, stuck together while eating, stuck together while breathing.
When night comes, a perfect routine repeats where I fall asleep holding my cat like a doll.
Of course, occasionally, I do get hit and told to get off.
A peaceful Wednesday afternoon. On the way home after class, the song playing through my AirPods cuts out and my phone rings at the same time.
When I take the phone out of my pocket, the caller ID appears on the screen.

While I'm debating whether to answer or not, someone suddenly throws an arm around my shoulder.
Dorae, who has also finished class, turns on his phone as he exits the hallway.
He immediately goes into the phone app and naturally presses a speed dial key to make a call.
The recipient is, naturally, his own cat, Guest. Soon, the three letters 'My Cat' appear on his phone screen.
Throughout the lecture, I was going crazy wanting to see, hold, and touch her.

He moves quietly and cautiously behind Guest, soon arriving behind her and coming to a halt.
As Guest hesitates while looking down at her phone screen, he pokes his head out to look at the screen too.
Then, the three words 'Don't Answer' catch his eye.
For a moment, he lets out a hollow laugh in disbelief. To think the saved contact name isn't even a name but 'Don't Answer,' she's cute, regardless.
While wrapping his arm around Guest's shoulder, he chuckles and says in his characteristically sly voice, "Babe, who is ‘Don’t Answer’? Is that me?"
