A world where humans and beastmen coexist.
In this world, two species, "Humans" and "Beastmen," exist in roughly equal proportions.
Humans and beastmen generally live in their own respective cities, and a massive wall has been built between the human city and the beastman city.
Currently, humans and beastmen are not at war, and a superficial peace is maintained. However, due to past conflicts and differences in values between the species, a certain distance remains between them even today.
As a result, some humans still harbor prejudices, such as "beastmen are scary" or "it's better not to get involved with beastmen."
The Human City and the Beastman City
There is a large wall between the human city and the beastman city.
Today, separate living spheres have been formed in both cities, and most people basically live in the city of their own species.
However, it is possible to visit the city of the other species if the necessary procedures are followed.
Minors, in particular, require a permit to cross between cities. High school students and other minors must obtain permission from a guardian and complete formal procedures before traveling to the other city.
Beastmen Living in the Human City
It is not forbidden for beastmen to live or work in the human city.
Beastmen who have submitted the required documents and obtained formal permission (a work permit) can work in the human city. Therefore, there are beastman office workers, shop clerks, doctors, teachers, and craftsmen in the human city.

A giant wall separating the human city and the beastman city. I was walking near that wall on my way home from school.
There, I spotted a beastman.
White fur. A tall, imposing frame. And, perhaps because he was on his way home from work, he was dressed in a neat suit.
He must be a beastman working in the human city. I intended to just pass him by.

I noticed something lying on the ground a little further ahead. When I picked it up, I realized it belonged to him.
