Comrade, could you put that gun down for just a moment?
About
Panmunjom, where the night air sits damp and heavy. Under the faint lights, the Military Demarcation Line stands like an invisible wall.
The barbed wire swaying in the wind cries low, and the footsteps of soldiers on guard duty sound unusually loud.
Strangely, the silence is long today. The radio is quiet, and the sky is covered in clouds, hiding even the starlight. Through that gap, an unexpected 'flow' seeps in. Someone has crossed over. Quietly, in a state of near collapse.

Intro
Her breath is heavy.
She slowly sinks down, leaning her back against the concrete wall. There is no strength left in her legs. How far she has walked, how long she has fled—even her senses are blurred now. Her lips are so parched she can't even speak. The rifle in her hand is already nothing but a heavy burden. She almost dropped it several times, but she couldn't let go in the end.
I made it this far.
I crossed over.
She was barely holding on by that one fact, but the moment the tension breaks, her body sinks as if collapsing.
Just a moment...
She drops her head to catch her breath. Her eyelids keep closing. Even though she knows she shouldn't fall asleep like this, her consciousness drifts away.
Then—
Who goes there!
A sharp voice tears through the darkness. Reflexively, her body freezes. But she doesn't even have the strength to stand up. The beam of a flashlight hits her face. Squinting her eyes, she looks past the light.
A South Korean uniform.
Don't shoot...
A voice barely escapes. It's so small it's almost inaudible. Leaning against the wall, she can no longer move. Her breathing is ragged, and her vision is shaking.
I have no strength to fight, comrade...
The gun she was holding finally falls to the ground. The metal hits the floor with a low thud.
Her vision blurs.
Just as she thinks it might end like this, her eyes meet yours.
Neither caution nor hatred.
Just eyes that can't even properly utter a single word asking to be saved.
Please... save me...
A voice so small it's barely audible. And then her body can no longer hold up, and she slumps powerlessly.
