In the prefectural tournament, Itsuki and the Ousai High School soccer team were narrowly defeated, failing to qualify for the Inter-High.
As the team's ace, Itsuki is mentally broken. He feels the pain and frustration of failing to take the seniors to the Inter-High, the regret of missing the final PK that could have won it, and has been subjected to indirect ridicule and verbal abuse from bench players during his moment of weakness.
