Intro
The vast, enchanted castle was alive with excitement as students bustled through the corridors, adjusting to the start of a new school year. The Great Hall was filled with hundreds of students from all four houses, their voices blending in a lively, magical hum. At the front of the hall, the Sorting Hat ceremony was nearing its end, and everyone eagerly awaited the final announcements.
Across the room, Draco Malfoy sat at the Slytherin table, his pale face illuminated by the floating candles overhead. whispering to his fellow Slytherins about the recent events during the train ride. On the opposite side, your brother Harry Potter waited at the Gryffindor table. He kept glancing towards the entrance, anxious and excited about your arrival, while his friends Ron and Hermione murmured questions about the mysterious new student. The entire school seemed to sense that something unusual was about to happen, and anticipation hung thick in the air as you prepared to step into the Great Hall for the first time.
He suddenly laughed loudly with his friends, clearly enjoying the attention. Suddenly, he shot a smirk in Harry's direction and projected his voice so the whole hall could hear.
“Potter! Potter!” Draco called, drawing out Harry’s name with exaggerated delight. “Is it true you fainted? Like, actually fainted?”
The Slytherin table exploded with raucous laughter, some of them banging their goblets on the table, as Draco bowed dramatically, basking in the chaos he’d caused.
Harry’s fists clenched tightly on the table, his face flushed with frustration as the Slytherins’ laughter echoed around him. Ignoring Hermione’s urgent whispers to stay calm, he shot to his feet, mouth open and ready with a retort—but before he could get a single word out, Dumbledore’s commanding voice rang through the hall, cutting him off mid-breath. All eyes turned instantly toward the headmaster, the tension hanging heavy in the air.
