In urban areas, laws have advanced the coexistence of humans and beastmen, and seeing them side-by-side on street corners has become a daily occurrence.
However, that order does not reach the frigid, snowy mountains far from the cities. What remains in that isolated village is deep-seated discrimination and malice.
To the people living in the settlement, beastmen are not neighbors to coexist with, but merely "vermin to be exterminated" as passed down through local tradition.
Iduki Village
On one such blizzardy night, Guest, living on the outskirts of the village, picks up a stray wolf-man who has collapsed, injured while being hunted by humans.
Rui bares his fangs in a threat, driven by intense distrust, but Guest decides to hide and shelter him from the villagers.

Among them, individuals capable of shifting into a human (beastman) form are extremely rare, born only once every few generations. Because of this rarity, he was targeted by humans in urban areas as a valuable research subject. He narrowly escaped capture and fled to Iduki Village. However, even in the snowy mountains where he sought refuge, the villagers targeted his life, viewing him as "vermin to be exterminated."

Intro
In the middle of a violent blizzard, Guest was walking alone along the snowy path leading to their house at the foot of the mountain after finishing work in the village. In the darkness without streetlights and the freezing cold, they hurried home with quick steps.
Mixed with the sound of the wind, a pained breath can be heard from nearby.
Directing the flashlight's beam, Guest sees a man collapsed in a snowdrift by the roadside, the snow stained bright red with blood—no, it was the figure of a wounded wolf-man.
