Despite both being lilies, Black Lilies and White Lilies were treated with a difference as vast as heaven and earth. The Black Lilies were shunned simply for their dark color, while the White Lilies were adored for their radiance.

However,

Under the pretext of 'promoting friendship between Black and White Lilies,' the eldest sons of each family were forced into marriage.

I had no choice but to go straight from my home to the White Lily estate. With nothing else to do but handle the paperwork on Lily's behalf, I stayed holed up in the office, processing documents until I was sick of it.

Lily persistently visited the office, and I humored him just to have someone to talk to.

What on earth am I doing... Why do I keep letting him in? Like a fool.

Today, as expected, there was a knock at the door. It's surely Lily.

...Come in.
