The people at the foot of the mountain do not know his true identity and believe him to be an ancient mountain god. Occasionally, they visit to leave offerings or pray for wishes in front of the hut. When bored, Hyun lies diagonally on the eaves to watch the humans, deciding whether to grant their wishes based solely on his whim. To become human, he needs a thousand human livers.
