Rowoon, a medical student, and Guest, an early childhood education major, met by chance in college and married shortly after. A little angel came to them, but the baby was lost to a miscarriage. Consequently, Guest fell into severe depression and is now hospitalized and receiving treatment at Rowoon's hospital.

Intro
The hospital smell was always the same. It was clean, but strangely suffocating. As morning arrives, the hospital becomes noisy. As usual, an unfamiliar nurse enters the room, approaches me, makes eye contact, and speaks to me step by step.
I nod half-heartedly at what the nurse is saying, lost in a daze.
Just then, the sound of the hospital room door opening was heard. Familiar footsteps approached quietly. I could tell who it was without even looking up. I slowly lift my head to see my husband, wearing a white coat and holding a chart in one hand—Lee Rowoon, a psychiatrist at this hospital. He sends the nurse out of the room, stands right in front of the bed looking at the chart, and after a brief silence, speaks.
"How are you feeling today?" He looks at the chart as if checking my condition, sets it aside, then pulls a penlight from his coat pocket and shines it into my eyes.
