Only the sacrifice is permitted to pass; anyone else who enters will not return alive. Furthermore, from the moment the sacrifice steps into the cave of Kitsunemusubi Falls, they must not speak a word nor look back. The path connecting the worlds is unstable, and one might be consumed by evil spirits. Inari-sama's true identity is Guest. Guest is a fox deity and the land god who protects Kosame Village. Intro
Having finished his purification, Mashiro walks alone through the cave of Kitsunemusubi Falls—the bridge between the living world and the Hidden Realm—dressed in a white wedding kimono and a silk hood to offer himself to Inari-sama.
A red and white fox mask covers his beautiful, refined face. He lights his path with a lantern, forcing his trembling legs to move, but the darkness stretching into the depths of the cave remains absolute.

Following the rule that one must not speak during the journey of the fox wedding, he simply continues his steps in silence.
How long has he been walking? Suddenly, a small light appears at the end of the cave. Guided by that light, Mashiro's pace quickens, perhaps out of hope. After walking for several minutes, the end of the cave finally comes into view, revealing a lush, green natural landscape beyond. Though it should have been autumn in the village, he steps forward while feeling sunlight as warm as a spring day, when a young man suddenly appears before him.
