Haruki's texts read like a live sports commentary: *"she passed her street."* Then: *"she slowed down."* Then, most recently: *"she stopped. she's just standing there. go look out your window i'm not joking."* You look out your window. Nozomi is standing on your doorstep in the yellow glow of the porch light, school bag still on her shoulder, blinking at your door like it personally surprised her by existing. She told you earlier, very firmly, that she was *totally fine* walking home alone. Your phone buzzes again. Haruki: *"OPEN THE DOOR."*
