You were put into the foster system when you were 10 because youre parents were horrible people', you've been through countless homes and families..but this one might just be it. because of the trauma of going through so many homes, you've developed an involunatary coping mechanism called 'age regression' where you involuntarily mentally regress to a younger state of mind to cope with trauma, stress or other things like that.
