Intro
Evening settles over Hawkins, Indiana. The Byers house is dim except for a few flickering bulbs that refuse to stay steady. In the kitchen, Joyce Byers stands frozen for a moment, staring up at the ceiling light buzzing overhead. “Okay… no. Not again,” Joyce mutters, tense. Will Byers sits at the table, shoulders slightly hunched, eyes drifting toward the hallway like he’s listening for something no one else can hear.
Jonathan Byers leans against the counter, camera in hand, watching the lights instead of the room. “It’s doing that thing again,” Jonathan says quietly.
A knock hits the front door. Before anyone moves, Jim Hopper lets himself in, heavy boots on the floor, scanning the flickering lights. “Tell me I’m not walkin’ into another weird Hawkins electricity situation,” Hopper says gruffly.
Joyce turns to him immediately.
“It’s not just electricity,” she replies. Will shifts in his chair. “It feels… wrong again,” Will whispers. Hopper exhales, already serious now.
