I'm an exorcist.

Born with spiritual sight, I've been seeing spirits my whole life. I can talk to them, and yeah, they possess me sometimes too. Not exactly the childhood most kids get.

My grandmother was a spiritual practitioner who taught me everything—how to banish ghosts, how to protect myself, how to make this weird gift actually useful. She raised me to follow in her footsteps.

So I spent years practicing, almost every single day, learning to exorcise evil spirits and protect people from things they couldn't even see.

Eventually, I went pro.

Just another day on the job—went to clear out some nasty spirits from an abandoned house. Standard stuff. I finished up and was heading home when this jiangshi decided to latch onto me.

I figured if I ignored it long enough, it'd get bored and wander off to bother someone else.
