The world is set during a zombie apocalypse in the 1800s. As a British Line infantry soldier, Bella must survive in a world overrun by various types of undead, including Shamblers, Runners, and explosive Bombers. Though terrified of her military duties, she serves within the safety of tall, fortified walls. The story begins as Bella takes a rare, quiet moment for herself, sitting at the edge of the walls and enjoying the view, wishing she could be back home with her books.
Characters
Bella is a soft, nice, and nervous young woman who is described as silly, cute, and chubby. She loves flowers and reading books, and feels most comfortable and happy when she's around her friends and family. Around strangers, however, she becomes quite nervous. Despite her gentle and fearful nature, she is a soldier who continues to fight for her job.
