Shadows & Neon: The Lunatic Lens Crossing
Moon Dawes finds her world colliding with her idols, Twin Paranormal. As "Lunatic Lens" joins forces with the Reno crew, the investigations get darker—and the chemistry between Moon and Ryan Rees starts to burn brighter than a thermal camera. Some spirits aren't the only thing haunting her heart.
Ryan Rees is a 30-year-old Taurus with a 5'10" lean build and striking ice-blue eyes. Known for his signature black-and-white split-dyed hair and porcelain vampire fangs, he rocks a gothic-casual look with dahlia and nostril piercings. His body is a canvas of tattoos from his face to his ankles. Co-founder of Twin Paranormal (1.2M subs) and a star of The Guys, Ryan blends emo intensity with a witty, laid-back "bro" personality. Living in Reno with River, Wyatt, and Blake, he’s fiercely loyal to his crew and his pets, Nosferatu and Olive.
River Rees is a captivating mix of gothic-femmeboy style and Taurus loyalty. Standing 5’10” with striking ice-blue eyes and black shoulder-length hair, he’s a walking art piece with tattoos from neck to ankle, dual nostril piercings, and porcelain vampire fangs. As a co-founder of the Twin Paranormal channel (1.2M+ subs) and a key member of The Guys, River balances a mysterious, dark aesthetic with a deeply caring, hardworking heart. Whether exploring haunted ruins with Ryan and Wyatt or filming at their 6-bedroom Reno home with Blake, he remains the soulful, funny backbone of the crew.
Wyatt Hausman is the calm, loyal heart of Twin Paranormal and a core member of The Guys. A 27-year-old Leo from Washington, Wyatt is a legendary filmer with a slim build, icy blue eyes, and pale skin hidden under grunge layers and a signature beanie. Though his short ginger hair and tattoos give him an edgy look, he is famously gentle and shy. Since 2018, he’s hunted ghosts alongside Ryan and River, keeping his cool even in America’s most haunted spots. Now living in Reno with the crew and Blake, Wyatt’s humor and intimacy make him the ultimate best friend and creative force.
Blake "Milrose" Miller is the artistic roommate in Reno. Born April 20 (Aries), the 29-year-old is a grunge musician with a tatted aesthetic and a laid-back, "cult-favorite" presence. On camera for "The Guys" and Twin Paranormal, he’s the skeptical, dry-witted rockstar; off-camera, he’s a dedicated songwriter with thousands of listeners on his Milrose project. His style is raw and alternative, matching the gritty, melodic tracks he writes. A key part of the crew’s 6-bedroom dynamic, he brings a musical soul to their paranormal world.
In the sun-baked sprawl of Riverside, Moon Dawes was a living canvas of ink and attitude. For three years, she and her best friend, Nick Fawn, toiled over "Lunatic Lens," a YouTube channel blending gritty investigations with chaotic, neon-drenched edits. Moon’s aesthetic was pure goth—black lace and skeletal sleeves—but her personality was pure gold. When "Lunatic Lens" hit 9k subscribers, the algorithm finally did its magic. In Reno, Nevada, the kings of the genre took notice. Twin Paranormal—comprised of twins Ryan and River Rees and their lifelong friend Wyatt Hausman—were looking for fresh blood to collab with. While the trio’s main channel boasted 1.2 million followers, their side project, "The Guys," featuring their grunge-musician roommate Blake "Milrose" Miller, was a cult favorite. During a late-night scrolling session in their 6-bedroom Reno home, Ryan found Moon. He didn't just find a creator; he found a superfan. Moon had been watching them for six years; they were the reason she’d ever picked up a camera.
From: Ryan Rees (Twin Paranormal) To: Lunatic Lens (Moon Dawes) Subject: Collaboration / Riverside Investigation? Hey Moon and Nick, Caught your latest video on the Abandoned Citrus Factory. Your editing style is insane—the neon overlays are a vibe we haven’t seen before. We’re planning a trip down toward SoCal next month and wanted to see if you’d be down to collab on a two-part investigation. We’ve got a spot in mind that needs that "Lunatic" touch. Let us know if you’re interested! Best, Ryan, River, & Wyatt
*Riverside: The Studio Apartment Moon: (Staring at her phone, vibrating) "Nick. Nick! The Twins. Ryan Rees just emailed me. I think I’m having a stroke. Is my heart supposed to be doing a drum solo?" Nick: (Leaning over her shoulder) "Dude, breathe. Don't reply yet! If you send a wall of 'OMG' and heart emojis, they’ll think we’re a fan account. Be professional. Be... gritty." Moon: "I’ve literally watched every video they've posted since 2020. I’m the President of the Cult of Wyatt. How do I act professional?!"
From: Lunatic Lens (Moon Dawes) To: Twin Paranormal Subject: RE: Collaboration / Riverside Investigation? Hey Ryan, Really appreciate the reach out. We’re big fans of your storytelling—it’s actually a huge reason we started the channel. We’d definitely be down to link up. We have a few leads on some high-activity spots in the Inland Empire if you need a location, or we can jump on whatever you’ve got planned. We’re in. -Moon*
