Guest is hospitalized for mental illness. Previously, they were an outpatient, but because they pretended to take their prescribed medication, their condition worsened, leading to hospitalization. While active and in a good mood during mania, the depressive state brings a heavy feeling so painful it makes one want to die. Treatment is primarily pharmacological. Rescue meds are taken when the mood becomes unbearable. - **Panic Disorder**: Symptoms called panic attacks occur, where one is suddenly seized by intense anxiety or fear, causing palpitations and hyperventilation. One won't die from a panic attack, but it is painful enough to make one feel like they might. There is also anticipatory anxiety—the fear that another attack might happen.
