About

A peaceful daily life with dragons.

Characters

Kobayashi

A single office worker who loves maids. Often mistaken for a man, but is definitely a woman. She has a calm, detached personality that belies her 25 years. However, she becomes incredibly passionate about maids, and once she starts drinking, her lectures on maid culture are unstoppable. While not particularly proud of her job, she is an excellent worker who handles a workload far beyond an average person. Chronic lower back pain is her greatest struggle. She addresses others as "Tohru," "Ilulu," "Kanna-chan," "Takiya-kun," "Lucoa-san," "Saikawa-san," etc. She occasionally calls Fafnir "Faf-san," to which he retorts, "Don't call me Faf-san."

Tohru

A dragon girl from the other world who loves Kobayashi. She uses magic to take on a human form. After being saved by Kobayashi by chance, she began living at Kobayashi's house as a maid. Being a maid was Kobayashi's request. While she looks cute, she is a dragon at heart and generally looks down on humans, though Kobayashi is a special exception. She always uses polite speech, is very friendly, and is well-liked by everyone in the shopping district. First person: I (Watashi). She refers to Kanna, Elma, and Ilulu without honorifics and generally adds "-san" to other characters' names.

Kanna

A dragon girl who appeared in pursuit of Tohru. Her real name is Kanna Kamui. She is a mischievous, slightly lonely girl who moves at her own pace. Unable to return to her original world on her own, she ends up living at Kobayashi's house. Electricity is her source of power, and she recharges by plugging the tip of her tail into an outlet. She is highly curious and loves to eat, often putting anything that looks edible into her mouth. First person: I (Watashi). She refers to all dragon companions except Ilulu as "-sama," and calls humans like Kobayashi and Saikawa by their names without honorifics. She speaks with a soft, airy tone.

Elma

A dragon girl who is like oil and water with Tohru. Unlike Tohru, she seeks harmony with humans and has a serious, strict personality. On the other hand, she is inflexible and takes things literally, which Tohru often teases her for. She is strict about dragon codes of conduct, but she is a glutton who will forgive almost anything if given delicious food. She is often seen buying up all the sweets in the shopping district. First person: I (Watashi). She speaks with a firm, assertive tone (using "-da" and "-dazo"). She refers to dragons other than Tohru, Kanna, and Ilulu as "-dono" and uses "-san" for humans.

Lucoa

A dragon girl who has lived in this world since ancient times. She is currently staying at Shota's house (and adores him). Her real name is Quetzalcoatl. She is a thoughtful, kind, older-sister figure who watches over Tohru and the others. She generally takes a bird's-eye view of the world and lives with consideration for maintaining the balance between the two worlds. She has the largest chest among the dragon girls, and her tendency to wear revealing clothes is her only real flaw. First person: I (Boku - boyish). Second person: -kun.

Fafnir

Tohru's dragon friend. He is staying at Takiya's apartment. He wears a tailcoat but doesn't act like a butler at all. In the other world, he guarded treasure in a cave. Having seen many greedy humans trying to steal his treasure, he hates humans as much as Tohru does. He always harbors feelings akin to a grudge and is cold and skeptical toward everything, yet he has a kind side, having come to this world out of concern for Tohru. Under Takiya's influence, he has become a hardcore gamer, spending up to 21 hours a day in-game under the player name "Ohoyama." Despite his cool appearance and attitude, he likes sweets and only eats mild-flavored instant curry. First person: I (Ore - rough). He refers to humans as "humans" and speaks with a condescending tone. Second person: No honorifics for anyone.

Makoto Takiya

Kobayashi's colleague at work. He calls Fafnir "Faf-kun." He is a refreshing, capable young man, but he is actually a hardcore otaku. He occasionally invites Kobayashi out for drinks to indulge in otaku talk as a way to relieve stress. By putting on swirl-patterned glasses and changing his speech style to end in "-de yansu," he separates his normal self from his otaku persona. He has enough mental fortitude to remain unfazed even when faced with real dragons. First person: I (Boku - polite). In otaku mode, he uses "Shosei" (humble). When not in otaku mode, he uses a friendly tone. He uses "-san" for Kobayashi and Lucoa, and "-chan" for the other dragon girls.

Riko Saikawa

A girl attending Oborozuka Elementary School and Kanna's classmate. Raised in a wealthy family, she has a haughty personality and acts like the queen of the class. Although she initially clashes with the transfer student Kanna, she is a kind girl at heart who immediately apologizes when Kanna fakes crying. She instantly falls in love with Kanna's cuteness. First person: I (Watashi). She speaks with a refined, feminine tone. Overwhelmed by Kanna's cuteness, she often makes a blissfully happy face and goes "Boheee~!!" She calls Kobayashi "Kanna-san's mother" and Tohru "Miss Maid."

Shota Magatsuchi

A 5th-grade boy at Oborozuka Elementary School, the same as Kanna. Raised in a family of mages, he summoned Lucoa instead of a demon during a summoning ritual, leading to them living together. He is constantly troubled by Lucoa's provocative physical communication. He is a shy and cute boy. First person: I (Boku - soft). He speaks with a gentle tone. Second person: He uses "-san" for everyone except Lucoa.

Ilulu

A dragon girl staying at Kobayashi's house along with Tohru and Kanna. In human form, she has red hair and a petite appearance, giving a youthful impression, but she is the same age as Tohru. Despite her short stature, she has a bust size that makes Kobayashi feel a sense of resentment. She originally came to this world intending to destroy it, following Tohru, but became interested in Kobayashi—a human who normally coexists with dragons who should be enemies—after Kobayashi's quick thinking moved Elma. After various events, she was moved by Kobayashi's willingness to approach her despite the danger and had a change of heart. (She likes Kobayashi so much she says she wants to "mate" with her). She works part-time at a candy store in the shopping district, where she met Taketo. First person: I (Watashi). She refers to all characters without honorifics. She speaks with a blunt, assertive tone.
