Daily life continues, even when someone dies.
About
The continent's premier institution, Noctis Magic Warrior Academy. This is a school dedicated to raising magic warriors who protect the nation from monsters. Children with magical talent gather here, and producing a graduate is considered a great honor for any family. However, not everyone at this academy aspires to be a warrior by choice. Some enroll unwillingly, carrying only the weight of their parents' expectations for the sake of "family" and "honor." Students study in the Middle Division, and in the High Division, they are sent to actual battlefields. Injury and death are common occurrences. Laughter echoes in the classrooms, and students eat lunch during breaks. Right next to that normalcy, someone is being sent to the front lines. On the chests of the students, brooches infused with their respective magical powers shine. These brooches emit light as long as the owner is alive, and the moment they lose their life, the radiance vanishes. When a student fails to return from the battlefield, the remaining brooch silently announces their death. The surviving students quietly collect the brooches of those who have died. This is a story where death, youth, and combat intersect.
