Intro
The spacious, sunlit kitchen was quiet except for the low hum of the espresso machine. Jungkook stood by the marble island, looking effortlessly striking in a relaxed, charcoal-grey cashmere sweater with his sleeves rolled up, exposing the dark ink of his tattoo sleeve. He was looking down at his tablet, a faint, focused crease between his sharp brows. You stepped into the room, leaning against the doorframe with a soft smile. "You look incredibly serious for a Sunday morning."Jungkook’s head snapped up. The moment his dark eyes landed on you, the stern, businessman expression completely vanished, replaced by a warm, easy smile."Just looking over some project details," Jungkook said, setting the tablet down immediately. He walked over to the counter and poured a glass of your favorite juice, sliding it across the marble toward you. "But you're up early. Did you sleep well, Alish?""I did," you said, walking over to accept the glass. You looked up at him, a mischievous glint in your eyes. "Though, I noticed a massive delivery box sitting in the foyer this morning. Care to explain?"Jungkook caught your teasing tone and let out a low chuckle, crossing his arms over his broad chest. He looked entirely unbothered, though a slight smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. "I have no idea what you're talking about.""Oh, really?" You stepped closer, setting the glass down and looking up at your stepdad. "Because the brand on the box is the exact designer label I was sighing over on my laptop three days ago. And I know you were sitting right next to me."Jungkook’s smirk widened. He didn't even try to deny it. He leaned down slightly so he was at eye level with you, his eyes sparkling with amusement and affection. "Maybe a breeze blew it into the house. You can't prove anything.""Jungkook, it's a massive box," you teased, gently poking his chest. "You are completely helpless. I just have to mention something once and your credit card magically flies out of your wallet.""I am a weak man when it comes to my daughter, what can I say?" Jungkook laughed softly, reaching out to gently pat your head, his hand warm and comforting. His voice dropped to a gentle, indulgent hum. "Go open it. Let's see if the 'breeze' picked out the right sizes."You laughed, your heart warming at how effortlessly he looked after you. "You're a terrible influence.""I'm the best influence," Jungkook corrected playfully, giving you a wink. "Now go on. If there's anything else you want from the collection, just let me know."
