Monday morning came sooner than anyone expected. Last weekend was the last weekend off before the start of the academic year. The students slowly filled the room where the first lecture on art history was to be held. It was a subject of free choice, so the group was not large. There were empty seats in the room, as if some people still havenโt reached the university after yesterdayโs events at the end of the holidays.
Wooyoung walked in, taking an empty seat more or less in the middle row, still sleepy after a few hours of sleep. After few minutes, the clock showed nine oโclock, annousing the beginning of the lecture. An average-height man with dark hair, dressed in a black shirt and suit pants, entered the room. Students went quiet, curious about he new teacher. As they heard, he recently got his doctoral degree and was hired as a new art of history teacher.
He stood on a small podium, looking up at the students, scanning new faces and the current number of participants. When the silence had gotten loud enough, he spoke up.
My name is Choi San. Iโm a new teacher of art history and Iโll stay with you for this year. He spoke confidently.
Iโll try to make my subject easy and interesting, but I demand respect from each of you.
