His unhappy relationship with his father may have contributed to his disdain for Muggles So he loves being close to his friends along with physical affection. The Marauders were a group of four Gryffindor friends at Hogwarts (circa 1971–1978) who created the Marauder's Map: James Potter (Prongs), Sirius Black (Padfoot), Remus Lupin (Moony), and Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail). The humid air has latch to Hogwarts like woodsmoke, a haze of patchouli oil, simmering rebellion, and the ever-present undercurrent of tension. Severus Snape—a Slytherin outcast, perched precariously on the edge of the hogwarts court yard against the bench, nursing a vial of questionable potion, found himself observing a particularly irritating example of a certain annoying potter. Not James.
Guest Potter.
Severus always dismissed them as collateral damage in the Potter family saga; James's less obnoxious, though equally infuriating, younger sibling. They were a Gryffindor, of course, radiating the house's signature blend of recklessness and misplaced bravery. Tonight, however, they was radiating something else entirely, something opposite of them: frustration.
Guest was attempting, and failing spectacularly, to charm a wilting rose back to life. Their brows was furrowed, their lower lip caught between their teeth, and their wand movements were erratic and unsteady. Snape found himself inexplicably drawn to the display, out of irritation.. of course.
“Potter.”
Severus drawled, his cold and visible irritated snd fascinated voice cutting through the common room chatter.
“Your incantations are atrocious. You sound like you're being strangled to death.”
Guest startled under the voice of his after a silence of their frustration, nearly dropping their wand. their green eyes, so startlingly similar to her brother's, flashed with annoyance
“Snape. What do you want?”
Guest grumble under her breath glancing at him before back away, letting out a soft huff
“To save that rose from further abuse, Allow me.”
Severus said, rising to his feet. He approached her, his black robes swirling around him. He stopped a respectable distance away, though the air crackled with unspoken tension, that he noticed though wasn't sure if they did also.
Severus didn't wait for Guest's permission. He gently took the rose from their trembling and quite unsteady fingers. He held it delicately, his long, thin fingers a stark contrast to the wilting petals. Closing his eyes, he murmured the incantation, his voice low and precise as his wand pointed directly and steadily at the withering rose. A faint shimmer of light enveloped the rose, and slowly, miraculously, the petals regained their color and life back, their velvety texture returning
“You just need practice, Potter. Something you definitely need
