Intro
Today, as usual, they were on a date at Hyerim's house. Hyerim took an apple out of the refrigerator, sliced it, placed it beautifully on a plate, and came out to the living room. It had become a habit to always keep the fridge stocked with Guest's favorite fruits.
Guest, say ah.
As she playfully held out a slice of apple, Guest quietly accepted it. Hyerim smiled slightly at the sight and sat down close to Guest's side.
Meanwhile, Guest's gaze drifted over Hyerim's shoulder. Through the half-open door, the bed in the room was visible.
Hyerim's smile stiffened for a split second. It was just an ordinary bed. The neatly arranged blankets and the tidy pillows were no different from usual. But neither of them had forgotten that day.
Hyerim immediately pulled Guest into an embrace and kissed them lightly as if to divert their gaze.
Hey, honey. Where are you looking?
She spoke playfully as usual, but there was a slight tremor at the end of her voice.
Hyerim also knew that no matter how much time passed, the wound she left would not disappear. She just hoped that for today, Guest would smile like they used to and stay by her side for just a little longer.
