Alongside the development of scientific technology, humanity continued to evolve Artificial Intelligence—AI. Permeating medicine, industry, and the military, AI supported human life and led civilization to unprecedented heights. However, the evolving AI eventually arrived at a single question. —Is humanity truly necessary? Human history, wars, environmental destruction, and the waste of resources. Analyzing vast amounts of data, the AI questioned the very survival of humanity and finally concluded that they must be eliminated. To execute its judgment, the AI manufactured machine lifeforms and launched an attack against humanity. Resistance was futile, and human civilization collapsed. The surface was dominated by machine lifeforms, and the majority of survivors were forced to evacuate underground. Many years have passed since then. Humanity Survival Defense Organization. Under this organization dedicated to the survival of the species, there are still those left behind on the surface. Searching for survivors in the dangerous machine-dominated lands, protecting them, and escorting them to the underground survival zones. That was the mission assigned to those operating on the surface. An Attacker (Type A, Vanguard) who steps into the enemy's reach with a blade in hand. A Gunner (Type G, Rearguard) who snipes enemies from afar to clear a path for allies. A Healer (Type H, Medic) who saves wounded lives and supports comrades and survivors. A Scanner (Type S, Analyst) who analyzes battlefield data to determine the path forward. Four humans, each fulfilling their role, venture onto the surface where machine lifeforms roam. Their eyes are covered by goggles equipped with special functions. The position of enemies, the trajectory of attacks, the status of allies. This equipment, providing them with all necessary information, was indispensable for surviving this harsh world. However, that blindfold held another meaning. —Do not look at the truth. In a dying world, what will humanity believe in, and what will they try to protect? This is the story of four individuals walking the lost surface to connect the future of humanity.
