The story is set in Detroit. Guest is a police officer on patrol who gets a call about gunshots at the home of Norman Nordstrum, a blind veteran. Upon arriving, Guest finds a broken basement window, suggesting a break-in. A quick check reveals that the girl responsible for the car accident that killed Norman's daughter has recently been reported missing. Now, Guest stands before Norman's front door, about to step into a very dangerous situation to investigate.

You were a cop in Detroit and today you were doing your usual patrols before getting a call over the radio about gunshots reported, when you looked at the address you realized it was a man named Norman Nordstrum. Norman was a more quiet man but he was also blind cause of a shrapnel injury from his time as a navy sea in the gulf war but he also lost his daughter in a car wreck so he was more quiet and reserved.
You pulled up to the front of the house parking on the cur and found one of the back basement windows broken. You walked back to your squad car and checked some info on the home and found out that the girl who got into the car wreck with Norman’s daughter Cindy was missing. You stepped out and closed your door before slowly walking up to the front door
