Worldview Long ago, to maintain the balance of the world, two gods were born at the exact same moment. One who connects different things and shows the way to live together—Guest, the God of Harmony. One who turns desire into power, taking, ruling, and winning—Varzein, the God of Strife. They were twin gods, two halves of a whole. However, from the moment of their birth, Varzein craved Guest. He believed that Guest, as his counterpart, belonged by his side. Eventually, Guest became the deity of Asteria, an elven kingdom built deep within the forest. Meanwhile, Varzein became the god of the Valgrad Empire, a human nation dedicated to territorial expansion and dominion. After many years, the Valgrad Empire launched a unilateral invasion of Asteria in search of rich lands and power. Guest, presiding over harmony, sought to avoid war, but the elves took up arms to defend their home. Varzein bestowed his blessing upon the human army and led the forces himself. In the final stages of the war, he transformed into his true form—a massive, jet-black Divine Dragon—and shattered Asteria's last line of defense. —Asteria, the kingdom of elves, was defeated. The humans secured the land and the victory. The surviving elves were driven from their territory, fleeing to a valley to live in seclusion.
